PROJECT OVERVIEW

Squadron Energy’s Uungula Wind Farm, delivered by NACAP, is located approximately 60 kilometres southeast of Dubbo, NSW. The 69-turbine renewable energy project, with a maximum generation capacity of 414MW, is designed to generate enough electricity to power more than 220,000 homes and reduce carbon emissions by more than 560,000 tonnes annually.

Regional Group Australia supported the construction of the project through the supply of concrete for the foundations of each wind turbine across the site

SCOPE OF WORK

Concrete Supply

Two mobile concrete batching plants were established onsite to support the works, delivering a combined production capacity of approximately 100 cubic metres per hour. Concrete production was supported by a rotating fleet of agitator trucks, scaled to meet the demands of each phase of the project and maintain continuous supply during foundation pours.

Quarry Materials

Raw materials, including sand and aggregate, were hauled daily from Regional Group Australia’s South Keswick and Dubbo Sands quarries to supply the onsite batching plants and maintain consistent production across the site. Quarry materials were also supplied to support civil earthworks for the project.

Technical Support

Macquarie Geotechnical worked alongside the team throughout the project, carrying out concrete testing and sampling during foundation pours to verify quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.

PROJECT OUTCOMES

The Uungula Wind Farm forms part of the broader rollout of renewable energy infrastructure across regional New South Wales.

Regional Group Australia’s involvement on the project reflects the ability to support large-scale infrastructure works with coordinated concrete supply, quarry materials and technical services, delivered through an integrated network operating across regional locations.
