Specified
Subbase

Subbase materials produced and tested to nominated project and road authority specifications for pavement construction. Products may include TfNSW DGS20 and DGS40, TMR Type 2.3 and 2.4 materials, and VicRoads Class 3 and Class 4 crushed rock.

General & Non-Spec Base Materials

General and non-spec base materials for access roads, driveways, hardstands, working areas and site preparation where formal road authority specifications are not required. Common products include 20mm Select Base and 20mm and 40mm non-spec roadbase.

High PI
Roadbase

High plasticity roadbase for applications requiring greater binding characteristics and cohesive compaction, including unsealed roads, access tracks and pavement works where site conditions call for a more plastic material.

Bound Base Materials

Roadbase and pavement materials blended with cement or other binders to increase strength and stiffness. The range includes lightly and heavily bound materials, often referred to as cement-treated roadbase, for pavement construction and rehabilitation.

Blended REcycled Roadbase

A blended pavement material produced from recycled construction materials, including crushed concrete and processed hard rock. Used for roadbase, access tracks, hardstands, driveways and general civil works, providing an alternative to fully quarried pavement materials.

The Layers Beneath the Surface

Roadbase and subbase form the compacted pavement layers beneath roads, access tracks, hardstands and other trafficked surfaces. Our range spans general and non-spec materials through to road authority-specified and bound pavement products, with selection shaped by pavement design, traffic loading, site conditions and required performance. Our hard-rock quarries produce materials for everyday local works as well as requirements for Transport for NSW (TfNSW), Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and VicRoads.
