Screened Scoria Aggregates

Naturally lightweight scoria screened into sizes including 7mm, 10mm, 14mm, 20mm and 40mm. Available in natural red and black, these aggregates are used across drainage, civil construction, landscaping, filtration and other applications where low density and permeability are beneficial.

Washed Scoria
Aggregates

Washed scoria aggregates for applications requiring cleaner material, including concrete production, water storage and filtration. Available in selected sizes, with the naturally porous structure supporting effective drainage and water movement.

Bedding & Topping Materials

Fine scoria products including 5mm minus pipe bedding and 8mm minus topping for civil, landscaping and surface applications. The material’s low density and drainage characteristics make it useful where a lightweight, free-draining quarry material is required.

Reinforced Earth Wall Scoria Fill

Lightweight, durable and permeable scoria fill for reinforced earth wall construction. Its lower density helps reduce structural loading while its porous structure supports drainage through the completed wall system.

Lightweight
Concrete

Black scoria aggregate used in lightweight concrete, precast products and masonry blocks where reduced overall weight is required. Suitable applications can achieve high-strength structural concrete while also benefiting from scoria’s thermal, acoustic and fire-resistant characteristics.

Manufactured
Lightweight Sand

Fine lightweight material manufactured from scoria for concrete, block-making, filtration and soil improvement applications. Its vesicular structure supports drainage and moisture retention, with cement-treated lightweight sand also available for selected applications.

Aerolite Scoria
Lightweight by Nature

Scoria is a naturally vesicular volcanic rock, formed as gas-rich lava cools and leaves behind a network of pores throughout the material. This distinctive structure gives scoria its low density and useful drainage and moisture-retention characteristics. Extracted from our Anakie resource in Victoria, it supports applications ranging from lightweight concrete and civil construction through to filtration, landscaping, horticulture and green infrastructure.
